The Law on the Coordination of Social Security Systems (text of 22 April 2009) allows French insured persons to receive dental treatment in Italy. Such treatment is reimbursed by the health insurance scheme as if it had been received in France.

Furthermore, depending on the policy, supplementary insurance may reimburse all or part of the costs not covered by social security.
